President's Message

Welcome to the Junior League of Alexandria’s website!

Welcome to the Junior League of Alexandria!  It is my honor to serve as president of an organization that has been impacting our community for over 70 years.  In my eleven years as a member I have had the privilege to serve alongside hundreds of women who epitomize the type of woman in which the league works to develop.  Not only have myself and these women spent countless hours working together to address challenges in our community, we have each made life-long friendships with fellow league members.
 
Our mission, “to promote voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective leadership of trained volunteers”, is exercised with each of our community projects and fundraising efforts.  Our website provides more information about our community projects like Scholarships for Seniors, Junior League Grants, Kids in the Kitchen and others.

It is with great enthusiasm and pride that I look forward to a year of change, leadership opportunities, friendships, community impact and a wealth of memories.  Thank you to our members and sustainers, community advisors, and friends of the league for the many years of positive guidance and support you have given us.
